Mixed Feelings
I can't tell you how happy (& surprised!) I am to hear that there are still some old friends that kept me in their bloglines.
Thank you. It is so good to see you.
It sure was fun to blog back in the day. I really enjoyed it. The connections, the swaps, the shared photographs, the support, the "real life" meet ups were all something that I truly enjoyed about blogging. Heck, I even enjoyed the memes. It all was energizing for me. Somehow blogging and the support that grew from the shared experience kept me tethered to a sense of hopefulness in the international adoption process. A sense that I wasn't alone in the struggle.
Until it didn't.
People left for China, came back and then went password protect with their blogs. One person politely told me "sorry, but we never met in real life, so you won't be invited to my private blog" - or thats how I heard it. Even the blogs that I was invited to visit after going private would require passwords to memorize and "keychains" and far too much work on my part. (sigh)
Some folks just completely disappeared. Leaving me to wonder what happened to them. What happened to "us" - haha. Honestly, though, some of these former blog-community-mates I don't really remember, some I really do miss and some I really was tired of listening to anyway. Probably the feeling is mutual for some of them...and I totally get that.
Anyway......
I'm back to hug my blog, greet my ol' bloggy friends that stop by and hopefully welcome some of my new crafty cyber buddies to hang around here, too.
We'll see how it goes. xoxo

For every season, change...
We're more fun anyway :D
Glad you are back!
Love the picture, that's awesome. But more importantly, glad to see you back. I took a year off and you captured my sentiments exactly... my favorites stopped writing for the most part, and those who returned with a child disappeared from the world or went 'underground'. :(
Me, I took the year off, changed my life and came back up for water under a new blogname!
Great to hear from you!!!
Keep smilin!
We love our crafty maker buttercupbloom! Hooray for getting back on the blog horse! Hoot!
xo, Katy
Yay! Missed you!
I'm still here, too!!! Stacey down in Carmel (mom to Ryleigh and Austin)
I kept you in my bloglines : ). Good to see you are back and hangin' tough. Keep in touch, k?
hmmm - one day you're in, the next day you're out. well, i can't say it as well as Heidi...
i think i found your shop, your blog, early on in my etsy selling - nearly a year ago - through the trashion team, maybe??? always thought your creations (and probably you) are so sweet.
so poo poo on those people who don't want to play nice. there are lots of us out here who do :)
ButterCup,
This must be so cool for you to get such a response from your past and present friends.
best to you BCB!!
ps: I had to put my Queen female feline as my avatar since the LittleSistah image did not work so well.
I'm surprised you popped on my bloglines. I almost deleted because it seemed dormant.
I figured I was one of those you were tired of reading, etc....
I will continue to be here.
Unfortunately my new agency required us to go private before referral but if you'd like in, I'll send you and invite.
I'm still reading, still not usually commenting. I can never remember my password = ) Love, love, love your owls!
For my own sanity I had to take a break from blogging. It was just too hard to hang on any more. The beginning everything was so exciting, but the longer the wait dragged the harder it was to hold on. We are getting close, so hopefully we can get that spark back. For me it's going to me a much calmer spark.
I am really glad that you're back! I will be here reading - I'm still not the best commenter, but I'll be reading!! :o)
I stopped blogging for awhile for some of these exact reasons. I came back recently but it's a total snooze-fest. More a place for me to keep track of some new stuff that's happening. Well, anyway.... welcome back.
dear GOD I MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!
BUTTERCUP!!!! or W. so so glad you are posting again.
ps. i'd love to swap a squish with you :O) we still don't have enough for M-n-M's quilt.
I've missed you, very much.
YAY! Just stopped by on a whim. Haven't kept up the blog as I've been busy trying to keep my head above...whatever it is... =) Some mothers are superwomen and me...not so much!
Glad to see you've been continuing your amazing etsy journey-you are so talented.
You are one of my fellow PAP bloggers from early on-eagerly awaiting the pics of your precious baby in your arms! =)
Oh, I hear you! Life goes on and some of us feel left behind. Sigh...
I am glad that you are blogging again. Having had the pleasure of meeting your sweet self, I always love reading a new post and hearing about your creativity and insights.
:)
You took the words right out of my mouth. Perfectly said.
I should be back soon, too. And I'm so glad you are. I've missed ya. :)
Miss, miss, miss you...can't say that big enough. I know this wait has been totally awful for you but I think of you so often and pray for all of those expectations to be met soon. I also know that you have pulled back, for obvious reasons. I hope when things look sunnier on the referral front we can re-connect "live."
I'm still sporadic but happened to check tonight and saw you're posting again. I love it when you post :)
I've missed you
I am happy to see that you're back - I've thought of you often and wondered how you were hanging in there. I look forward to the news of your referral. Getting closer all the time. -LynneB
I, for one, am glad you're back. I haven't blogged in over a year, and don't think I'll get back to it any time soon. Maybe... someday...
Hola! Glad to see you're back. I haven't updated my blog in about a year now, because Facebook has taken over my life, lol!
well, some of us do check in on you every once in awhile...and wonder what's going on??? but i honestly spend all my time on facebook now...you can send me a friend request if you are interested to see how we resolved our never-ending china-dilemma. it just got. so. tiring. well, you know.
