Bootiez
Hi. Well, I guess it is ok to admit that I've been a bit of a knittin' fool lately b/c I am now an Auntie Proper. Here are a pair of bootiez that I made for little baby Lola, my niece. They are made from a Debbie Bliss pattern. I love being an Auntie. Lola wore them Friday & I was so proud. They barely fit - but my sister kept pulling them up.
Do you think that I could make bootiez for my own baby girl ? Will they fit her? Will they fit my girlfriends baby - she's waiting, too. How do you know what is a safe size for baby-to-be from China?
Sorry about the shine. Can you see the bootiez ok? Or do you need shades? I'm a bit of a fool for wrapping. I couldn't bring myself to take the bootiez out of the wrapping for the blog pic. Next pair will be posted out of wrap.

Yes, I can see the bootiez OK. They would shine w/o the wrapping because they are so amazing. Those bootiez would make a hairy troll weep. They're so precious and small and the color of a tomato and you made them. How cool are you?
Further reinforcing your cool is the sharing of the diaper bag with Ms. Naked Ovary. I read her post this AM and I saw that bag and I went..."hmmmm...I know somebody else that bought that bag at the Nordy's sale." Great minds....
I'm jealous! I've been trying to knit booties for my new niece (born yesterday) and I like to think the pattern stinks and not me. What pattern are you using? Also, you commented on my blog that the sheep pattern was on your blog and I can't find that either. So maybe I do stink.
I also had to change your comment on my blog to not include my daughters name that I accidentally used in my post. So sorry! I couldn't figure out your e-mail, but if you want to e-mail me, I'm katiejmama "at" yahoo "dot" com.
Did I already say how cute those booties are?
Those bootiez are amazing. I have been wanting to try to make a pair, but haven't, yet. This just may be my motivation.
Adorable! You're so talented. I think you should definitely make a pair for your little girl and bring them with you to China!
They came out so cute!
I love that you posted those priceless bootiez. YES, definately make a pair for buttercup, just use a more "stretchy" material to adjust for her size. Is that even possible? I am so un-Martha.
