Low Impact?

Yes. I'll admit to having done the Jane Fonda workout tape back in tha' day. We actually did a lot of the moves in my high school PE class, if you can believe that one! Workouts have sure come a long way....

So, I've been thinking a lot about the Weight that this Wait has contributed to my derriere. Then I decided to do something about it. I joined a groovy calisthenics thingy. No, its not CURVES - that spot didn't work for me (the CURVES singers & I didn't get along). Having been a self proclaimed "gym-girl" for ages, it took a leap of faith, but I'm digging my new dance-y aerobic scene. I call it my "Exercise Shop". Works for me.

It has been exactly a month since I joined (including the vacation chunk) and although I can't say that I've noticed anything monumental - my energy levels are much improved. Not to mention my mood. Here's what I'm hoping for:

Considering that I managed to attend 4 one-hour classes this week, including one step - I think that I'm well on my way. Dad always said that it takes 30 days to create a new habit. That is what I'm shooting for - getting back in tha' habit.

Buh-Bye Slacker Jack....

Helllllloooo Jane Fonda!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday Y'all! XO

Oh, do I ever need to do the same thing. Good for you!

I was a little worried when I saw Mr. Avalon - but then I listened and it was "cleaned up" a little. Whew.

Isn't that guy too young to know about Jane Fonda?

Anyway, yay for you! Four times in one week? Now that is motivation! I have fallen off the exercise wagon the past two months, and definitely my mood is affected.

I did well for awhile but then vacation and then the plague happened. Haven't been back yet. But soon...

Good job on your new exercise regime.

Oh.MY. GOD. Where do you find this sh... I mean STUFF?! I am cracking up at the video.

And good for you gettin' your groove back. I'm still nursing that sprained ankle (SIX DAMN WEEKS) and can't run for possible up to EIGHT OR MORE. NOT happy about that. Running is my thing.

Woohoo....I have to admit. I just tossed my Jane Fonda tapes last year :0) They were leveling some things in the garage!

Good for you. I love being an active one. I may not be a twig but I sure feel a lot better!

Go for it - it'll help with the humidity walking around Shamian Dao...

I have to confess - those legwarmers were a MAJOR thing for me back in the 80's. I had a cutie of a girlfriend who used to do the Jane Fonda workout in her cute legwarmers which has left me with a fondness for them to this day. Funny the things that "work" for a person...doesn't seem to have anything to do with overt attraction. All synaptic reflex, I suspect.

I'm trying to follow your good example, I've been doing the "easy" version of exercise lately...

You go!

When I was in high school, we used to do the 20 Minute Workout in PE... remember that? With the crazy camera work and girls with big hair, full makeup, shiny spandex and thong leotards?

Nothing but depressing.

I'll echo the Good For You! chorus. I'm glad you found something that you're excited about - that's half the battle, isn't it? Keep it up - keep it off!

You need an email link on your blog because this is in response to your comment on my blog and totally off topic on your blog! Sorry!
I have a stick blender but it is weak. What kind do you have?

GO Girl! Sadly, my pedometer has not been getting as much use as it should - lost its luster, I suppose. My SW suggested I start wearing a backpack with several bags of sugar or flour to build up my back strength. With the long wait, I could probably work out enough to bench press 200 lbs before we get our referral!
